Our Staff
Susan - Bookkeeper
My name is Susan and I have worked at Harrodsburg Animal Hospital since 1993. After graduating from college, working in Human Resource Management for many years and then getting married and deciding to return to Harrodsburg to raise my children, I started looking for a part-time job. I started out as the receptionist, but over the years I have also assisted the veterinarian, managed inventory, client relations and employee training as well as coordinated Human Resource issues. Currently, I spend most of my time in the Bookkeeping office handling financial issues and coordinating the employee schedules. I fill in for the receptionist on her days off and do whatever else is needed on an ongoing basis. Obviously, I love my job as I have worked here for over sixteen years. I enjoy meeting the clients and patients and enjoy the fact that everyday is always different, as you never know what will be happening in our office. I have a wonderful family consisting of my husband, a teenage son, a teenage daughter, one loyal lab-mix dog named Lily, and three very different personality cats named Kitty Rock, Princess, and Bling Bling.
Kassie - Kennel Attendant
I have loved all kinds of animals and reptiles all my life. I have two beautiful dogs and seven playful cats. I treat them like children and would lay my life down for them. I feel very blessed that Dr. Spaulding hired me as Kennel Attendant. The job is a perfect fit. I love the people I work with. They are kind and a joy to be around. I absolutely love taking care of, and playing with all the animals brought to us. It is wonderful being able to have my cake and eat it too.
Lori - Receptionist
My name is Lori. I am the receptionist at Harrodsburg Animal Hospital. I have worked with Dr. Spaulding for four years. I enjoy working with and caring for all of our patients. I treat each patient in the same manner that I would want my pets treated, with kindness, compassion, patience, and love. I have learned so much by working with Dr. Spaulding and our clients that I am a better, more informed pet owner myself. I currently share my life with three hyper-crazy dogs, and one laid back, self assured tabby cat. Cookie is my 8 yr old Boxer-technically a senior dog, but she still believes that she is a puppy. She still likes to play catch and to chase squirrels, even though she has never caught one. Cassie is my seven year old Yorkie, who dreams of one day being the alpha dog, if she could just get the Boxers to go along with her plans; they never do. Kara is my one year old Boxer puppy with boundless energy. She believes anything that moves wants to be chased, and anything standing still wants to be jumped on and kissed. Piper is my orange tabby cat, who showed up one day, and decided that this pack of dogs needed a cat to be Queen. She eventually made her way into the house and has ruled ever since.
